Initial stage everyone used Google maps to know the place away from their home town. If we plan a holiday trip then using google map definitely help people easily plan trips about to know the nearby major cities and favorite places, Very helpful till now. 

When I start using Google maps with the support of android applications. It suggest me to review the places and notify me about places near me (walk-able distance places). I am quite very interesting by viewing the nearby places through google maps. And it allows me to review the places include my favorite places with the feature of adding photos and ratings. Also our reviews helping peoples who wish to learn about our hometown or plan a trip to our native places. Also google maps light up to expand our social knowledge by helping others with sharing our true knowledge on our well known places and our opinions on regular/favorite places as reviews.

Ratings

Mostly around the world, the elections are used to to select rulers. They have to save people with good thing for a time-period. In the mean period he can do either good or bad rule. We have to wait for next election to select another ruler or hold the same. The same procedure in followed in google maps ratings but it differs with time period. By Contributing our ratings to our favorite places, it leads to enjoy broad freedom to criticize about our favorite places and then hold the favourite places in top rankings. We easily pick the correct one when we having multiple choices. Google maps allows all users to rate their favorite places and make it public. The lower rated places have to accept the judgment of the goggle map users and try in solving the demerits to their own places.

Reviews

Ratings / Reviews are two sides of the same coin, you mean that they are different ways of looking at or dealing with the same situation.

Google maps allows user to post their own reviews with adding photo features and make it public. These review should be detailed, specific, and honest by each users. By adding reviews we develop our Social Listening knowledge. Both Positive and negative reviews can significantly impact the places that listed in google maps because users will look for feedback before planning to visit those places. Those places have positive/negative reviews would surely be able to help anyone around the world wish to know about our hometown places.
